Overview: The student will learn about Alias Studio surface modeling and discuss general modeling approaches relating specifically to Alias|Studiotools.

Prerequisite: Industrial Design degree helpful but not necessary

Topics:

• Creating curves and surfaces from curves.
• Familiarity with Interface.
• Participants will focus on 12 to 1 5 instructor lead tutors
• Tips and tricks to gain design advantage.
• Focus on rounds and blends then forcing tangency.
• Curvature issues in detail.
• Course is customizable to focus upon any number of details such as rendering or modeling.
• Customized, Procedural and Environment map.

Creating geometry without braking construction history for proving form.

Discussion:

• Discuss improper modeling techniqes and look at advanced models and examples of hi-end techniqes for cultivating design aproach.
• Export and import functions to Pro/E or Solidworks
• Tooling w/o exprot to Pro/E or Solidworks

Encourged:

• Two day workshops are available in anything we teach is encouraged for all three week students.
• Work with individual or corporate projects.

Deliverables:

• login and password to Design Engine online tutors
• list of companies using Alias Studio with contact names

Learning to manipulate control verticies on the internal structure of a surface to create a face.
