Overview: General Principles of modeling
for the Auto industry. Course can be customized to focus on both G2 Continuity
and Point cloud data manipulation from clay or other types of scale models.
Course will discuss common modeling practices within the Auto Industry.
Prerequisite: Industrial Design degree helpful. Approximate. 1200
hours of Alias|Studiotools Studio modeling experience suggested.

generation at the highest aesthetic level reflected
by the minimum mathematical information needed.

A Class Surfacing techniques
Definitions of A Class Geometry
Curves then Surfaces
Compare NURBS and Bezier curves and surfaces
Compare many different types of body geometry
Compare many different types of Interior forms
Utilize the Align tool for secondary surfaces
Discuss Explicit control for square tool and surface rail tools
Learn to evaluate surface continuity with Shader, Zebra and other tools
available.
